Once again we will be tackling The West Highland Way Setting off on Sunday 6th May.

This year I will be accompanied by my sister Lynne for whom I am sure this will bring back great memories of completing the walk 22 years ago at the age of (around) 12 ish 

The West Highland Way covers 95 miles starting in Milngavie & finishing in Fort William and all going to plan we will reach Fort William on Thursday and then climb Ben Nevis on the Friday totalling 100 miles.

Last year we raised just under £2000 for Marie Curie and will again be raising funds through our efforts, having lost our Mum to Cancer September 2010 and having spent the last few days of her short life in the care of the staff at the Fairmilehead Marie Curie centre it’s our way of giving something back and also helping others to be cared for in the same way.

Along the way we will be meeting up with David Paterson, Chaz Gray and the regular first week in May walkers whom I am sure will once again make it a memorable week come rain or rain! Believe it or not we all had sunburn last year.
We will be fully self funding this event and 100% of the proceeds will go to Marie Curie.
